چکیده

The estimation of the end-to-end delay in modern communication networks is high importance to support multiple services but also for management network resources. In this paper, we propose an model and methodology heterogeneous networks. method allows computation distribution parameters when a small number samples available through probe packets. proposed technique evaluated different datasets, including operating with access technologies upper-layer protocols, so heterogeneity protocols can be taken into account. evaluation results show that Generalized Extreme Value used approximate accuracy achieved even only packets available. Finally, error confirms effectiveness broad range scenarios.

End-to-End Delay of Videoconferencing over Packet Switched Networks

Videoconferencing is an important global application it enables people around tha globe to interact when they are far from one another. In order for the participants in a videoconfierence call to interact naturally, the end-to-end delay should be below human perception about 100 tus. Since the global propagation delay can be about 100 ms, the actual end-to-end delay budget available to the syst...

Providing End-to-End Delay Requirements in Heterogeneous Networks using Zone Delay Assignment

Providing end-to-end delay has been an important issue in Quality of Service enabled networks. If we can assign a call’s end-to-end delay requirement optimally to each node along the route of that call, the whole network can be better utilized. In practice, routers in a network are likely to use different packet scheduling policies. Due to the differences in the scheduling policies, delay bound...

End-to-End Bandwidth Estimation for Congestion Control in Packet Networks

Today TCP/IP congestion control implements the additive increase/multiplicative decrease (AIMD) paradigm to probe network capacity and obtain a “rough” but robust measurement of the best effort available bandwidth. Westwood TCP proposes an additive increase/adaptive decrease paradigm that adaptively sets the transmission rate at the end of the probing phase to match the bandwidth used at the ti...

Forward End-To-End delay Analysis for AFDX networks

Packet switched networks and message multiplexing have been a major upgrade for industrial systems communications. In the avionics domain, this evolution was brought by the introduction of Avionics Full Duplex Switched Ethernet (AFDX). Guaranteed upper bounds of end-to-end delays for messages transmitted over an AFDX network are mandatory for certification reasons. In this article, we present t...
